DIY party poppers are such a fun project to do with the kids and you can use what you already have around the house.
Check out this step by step on how to make one

What you'll need:
Toilet paper tube or paper towel tube {cut into thrids}
Balloons
Tape
Confetti {if you don't have any you can make your own. Use a hole punch. Punch holes in wrapping paper, tissue paper, paper or magazine pages}
Hot glue gun {optional}
Washi Tap {optional}
Ribbon {optional}
Colored paper {optional}
Stickers {optional}
Let's get this party started!
1. Gather your items

I used leftover gold confetti from a birthday party along with a balloon, ribbon from last Christmas, {that I never used} and a toilet paper tube.
2. Knot the balloon and cut the top off

3. Stretch balloon on to the toilet paper tube

4. Tape balloon to the toilet paper tube

I used packing tape because it was larger but you can use scotch tape.
5. Decorate your tube
I decided to wrap my tube in scrap wrapping paper. Attached with hot glue and then added a little embellishment with ribbon.
6. Add your confetti

7. Now it's time to celebrate!
Simply pull the balloon back and let the confetti fly!
